Winter inspired styled shoot - the Kedleston

Warm greys, deep plummy tones and metallics were the starting point for a styled shoot we did for the Kedleston Country House Hotel at the end of last year. Collaborating with Emily Wisher Artisan Florist we worked with some fantastic suppliers to bring this all together.

The Kedleston was recently restored back to its original Georgian state, and beautifully designed with plush interiors by Plum and Ashby. So to have the chance to work with them to style the shoot was an exciting opportunity. We wanted to pay homage to Christmas without all the decor that comes with it, so opted for cut glass, foliage, velvety tones and mixed textures to give a decadent feel. With beautiful laser cut name places for the table setting, we then injected pops of colour with plummy, grey and dusky blue candles. Wooden signage and seating plan dressed in eucalyptus by Polly and Me gave a rustic feel to this.

The venue itself has lots of little curiosities on shelves and in nooks, we felt it important to use some of these. Plum and Ashby have some gorgeous blankets by the fires - we instantly knew we wanted to incorporate them into the shoot.

The dresses were by Charlotte Simpson, a london based designer who simply has the most stunning gowns. Combining these with a relaxed hairstyle and neutral make up.

All of this was captured perfectly by Jo Hastings photography. The Images are simply stunning.
