We can't believe how time has flown since it was the Mama Meet and Christmas Market, run by Ainsley from Life With Oaks and Olive. Held at the Silk Mill in Derby, this was the first Christmas market held by Ainsley, succeeding her earlier event in the year which was a huge success. The Christmas market was even more so.
We were delighted to be asked to style this event, as well as having a stand to sell our fabulous partywear and Christmas collections. So many creative small businesses attend these events, so we knew we needed to do them justice with how the venue was styled. As the events are also parent and child-focused, we had lots of ideas for how we wanted the day to look, feel and work for everyone that visited.
The consistent theme for the events are the gorgeous hot air balloons, so we definitely needed to incorporate them somewhere. We also wanted to create a fun and vibrant, but warm festive feel, so we used lots of rich and jewel-toned bright colours. We also included some fabulous geometric decorations in there too and plenty of twinkly fairy lights.
Ainsley's husband made this amazing sleigh complete with reindeer, which we filled with gifts and had sign written by Polly and Me. It was a great draw for people having their photographs taken with. Polly and Me also created some other amazing bespoke signage for around the event which tied in with the feel of the place perfectly.
In our opinion, no event is complete without some amazing animal in party hats. We had them in abundance.
Alongside all of the amazing businesses selling some incredible gifts for Christmas and edible goodies, we also had Messy Play who were offering some great festive fun for the children. A cinema area was also available where Christmas films were being played.
To top it off, the man himself made an appearance.
A huge thank you to Ainsley for having us at the event, we can't tell you how much we enjoyed styling it for you. We are definitely looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings for these events.
